Preferential rate:

Schools that benefit from the Une école montréalaise pour tous support program or schools with a socioeconomic environment index (SEI) decile rank of 8, 9 or 10 may take advantage of the preferential rate.

Chaperones:

Elementary school
One complimentary chaperone ticket per group of 15 students.

High school and higher education
One complimentary chaperone ticket per group of 25 students.

Terms and conditions:

  • No deposit is required upon making the reservation.
  • If you must cancel your reservation, we need to be advised in writing at least five weeks prior to the concert. If those deadlines are not met, the school will be required to pay the full amount of the initial invoice.
  • Reservation changes are accepted up to 15 days before the concert. No subsequent changes can be made to the invoice.
  • Once payment has been made, the order is considered final.
  • There are no refunds.

Useful Information

  • It is the responsibility of teachers and chaperones to ensure students’ good behaviour during concerts and workshops.
  • School Matinees are presented without intermission.
  • Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your concert time. Latecomers will only be admitted at the appropriate time, determined by the conductor.
  • It is forbidden to eat or drink in the concert hall.
  • Bathrooms are available on all floors of the Maison symphonique.
  • Checkroom service is not provided during School Matinees. Students must keep their coats and bags with them.

Schools are responsible for arranging and reserving their transportation to the Maison symphonique de Montréal.

The main entrance to the Maison symphonique is located at 1600, rue Saint-Urbain.

Access is also possible via the main entrance to Place-des-Arts, located at 175, rue Sainte-Catherine.

STM Metro Service

Place-des-Arts or Saint-Laurent metro stations.

You can get to your concert seat in the Maison symphonique without going outside by choosing the Place-des-Arts metro station.

STM Group Shuttle Service

The STM offers a school shuttle service. Details.

By Bus

The Maison symphonique is served by bus lines 15, 24, 35, 55, 80, 125, 129, and by Express lines 465 and 480.

Go to the website of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) to find the fastest and most efficient route for you.

The STM offers a paratransit service. Stop no. 4117 is in front of the main entrance to the Maison symphonique.

To take advantage of this service, you must book in advance:

  • online, via the STM’s SIRTA system
  • by phone at 515 280-8211
  • by teleprinter at 514 280-5308

A landing stage for people traveling by paratransit is located in front of the main entrance to the Maison symphonique. The entrance has an access ramp and automatic hinged doors.

Assistance for individuals living with a disability is provided at all concerts by the Maison symphonique’s team.
